Health Class Blues
You know, I've been thinking about Health class lately. Yeah, yeah, I know. AWKWARD. But still... A friend of mine turned to me in class yesterday, made a face, and said "Ewww..." Mm-hm... Socially awkward, we know. But in 6 years when you or family/friends got an STD or two? You'll be saying, "Oh snap! Should've listened to Mrs./Mr. ______" (fill in blank of health teacher's name) Mm, I don't know. Plus you don't want some crazy psychopath doctor dolin' out some drug that no one has ever heard of, and happy go-lucky naive you says, "Okay!" and gladly takes them, knowing that someone truly cares, right? And even if you've had vice principals sitting in on classes while the teacher drones on about childbirth, come on? Okay, okay, I admit that one is just a bit WEIRD... (okay, maybe not just "a bit"... A LOT weird) But I don't know about you, but I'd rather be disturbed for 10 minutes or 45 minutes, then totally ignorant the rest of my life. I mean sometimes it's better than going up to your parents when you're 34, and they're 70-90, and saying, "Mommy, Daddy (or papa, mum, whatever you call them) How do you know if you're pregnant?" ooorrrr.... "Hey, Ma, Pop, is it a bad sign if my veins are turnin' darker than normal and I feel like I'm gonna barf, and starve at the same time?" Hehe. Okay maybe not just awkward stuff. But you never know- while there's a chance that this stuff'll never be put to use in your whole lives (however small the chance, there still is one), it's good to know what's out there- not only the AWKWARD don't know what to think parts, but even flu, types of MD's, etc. isn't too bad. Think of it this way- makes you smarter! And an added bonus- it's a prettttyyy easy class, barely any homework, etc. So go ahead, read in the back of the room, or pass notes- knowing you'll probably die of an overdose in 10 years. Trust me- paying attention may or may not save your life, but at least my teacher has a story to tell about everything. Makes class interesting. And by the way, most of them don't mind if you ask something to get the class laughing. Have fun, and see you next time, in My Corner of the Sky

P.S. I love "PS I Love You"!!!
Yesterday I saw a movie, P.S. I love you, about a couple, Holly (Hillary Swank) and Gerry Kennedy (Gerard Butler). After Gerry dies of cancer, mysterious letters arrive one after another, showing her how to live life to the fullest (I really don't want to give too much away). This Romantic Comedy was heartfelt and hilarious. Now that you can rent it, after you see the movie, see the deleted scenes... Very nice... I originally picked PS I Love You up because my friend and I are huge Gerard Butler fans (we first saw him in Phantom of the Opera-2004), but then I realized there was a lot to this movie. From unique Holly, and her fun-loving friends who support her the whole way, to the big-hearted love of her life, Gerry...... (and he's really cute, too!) This movie has a crazy cast of characters and I love it.
A bit of advice to all of you out there who still have your parents around (don't worry no one died) spend time with them. If you get into a fight... try to get out of it. They usually know best for you, though if your heart is telling you something very strongly, feel free to ignore them! But still... even then... keep their advice in the back of your mind. Mothers especially, though overprotective sometimes, usually have a certain eye for certain things...

Serious Blogging Takes Serious Skills
Okay, everyone. I doubt anyone reads my blog EVER, but, I've decided to get serious about blogging.
This afternoon I was playing Star Wars Galaxies, and if anyone asks you, let them know it's one awesome MMORPG (look that up!) My charries are Twi'leks on Sunrunner :) I live on Tatooine... and... nvm hehe Too complicated.
Anyways, if anyone wants to email me about SWG, you can contact me at...

In school we've been working on Creative Non-Fiction.... We've read a few pieces- one by our teacher, who is a regular blogger, and... "Why I Write" "A Rap Fan's Alternative" "The Risk Factor", and my favorite so far- "Un Nintended Benefits" by Dave Barry. I hadn't really read anything by him except a series called Peter and the Starcatchers. God, I have to start reading more of his columns. He's hilarious, and leaves you wanting more.
For a project, we have to create our own piece... I decided to do one called "My Corner of the Sky" I MIGHT, just MIGHT post it when I'm done and it's handed in.
I've been thinking lately, about people, and the universe. A friend of mine said, "You can't really trust anyone" And it got me thinking, so I replied, "That's the point of trust, isn't it? You have to TRUST them." I mean, they could betray you at anytime, or go and stab you when you turn around (literally OR figuratively, preferably the latter), but you don't expect them too. Because you trust them.
Also, imagine this.... Us, human beings on Planet Earth, which, in itself, is HUGE, with what? 7 billion people? Then, the moon, and the sun, and then our solar system. Even that concept is pretty big. Now... Think... Imagine us, a microscopic speck in this solar system, inside our galaxy, the milky way.... How tiny our solar system is within the Milky Way... and then... you.. .that tiny little speck on that tiny little planet.... In the whole universe, which is rapidly expanding as we speak. Pretty amazing to think about, eh?
Artist/Song of the Entry: the Killers- God, they're addicting! Songs get stuck in your head for a week! But they're good. My personal faves are: Mr. Brightside, When you were young, Human, and Somebody told me
U2- For Christmas, I got the U2 Concert DVD- live from the Vertigo Tour in Chicago '05... I never got through the whole DVD, but I dug it out this week, and it's pretty captivating, even just watching Bono, and his stage presence. He invited a random child on the stage with him... He and the others in U2 proclaim the "COEXIST" message to the world- it's amazing. Continue on your quest, Bono, the Edge, Adam, and Larry... You're doing a damn good job spreading love and peace. :)
That's all for this month. Have a good Spring Break.

Happy March? lol
Hey everyone, sorry about that. I don't have much time to write, let alone in the past 2 months! My school was putting on a production of Robin Hood, which we performed last Friday and Saturday nights. It was awesome!
Anyways, I'm kinda busy right now, but happy EARLY St. Pattie's day lol :)
